Meet Steven

Born and raised in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, I am 33 years old and blessed with a loving family, a newly engaged fiancé, Carson, and a career path I would have never expected.

As a student I started a small of t-shirt company that used social media for groups to order apparel for campus events. We would sell a few thousand units each spring. Over the course of my entrepreneurial career as a student, I became close with the owners of the company that printed for me, Campus Sportswear. Each spring, as I left for summer, the owners, Tom & Jedd would joke about our future partnership. “Steven, let us know when we can retire and you can run this place!” I would fire back here and there… Until one day I reached out and told them was interested in joining the company. Over the course of the next year I spent countless hours in their shop. In between classes I would run up to the shop to learn about printing from Tom. At night I would head over to Jedd’s house to learn about embroidery and artwork.

Upon graduating I joined Tom & Jedd at Campus Sportswear as an equal partner. We rebranded the business as Campus Ink. In 2018 we moved out of our facility on 6th street and into a 12,000 sq foot facility to handle our growth.

I spend my spare time learning about the industry, teaching classes, recording podcasts, blogging, and working with my good friend Bruce Ackerman on his start up, Printavo.

I continually challenge myself to grow as leader and a catalyst for positive and lasting change, I have gained extensive experience upon graduating from the University of Illinois guiding businesses and organizations. I have taken initiative in helping my interests reach new heights. I enjoy strengthening organizations, benefiting units, and developing my peers, but what consistently drives me is a desire to achieve new levels of excellence. I know that there are always ways to improve established processes. In every new situation - each new challenge I face - I am confident that I will be able to innovate and find creative solutions.
